4 Ways to Get Organized with GAIN Content Tags

Content Tags give you the ability to categorize your GAIN content any way you see fit. Add as many tags as you want to any post, consolidating posts into specific groups that help speed up your content workflow. Here are some ideas on how you can utilize GAIN’s Content Tags to organize your content better:

1. Tag By Event

Your company may have a Demo Day coming up next week and, later in the month, a major conference at which the CEO will be a speaker. Your brand will want to create plenty of content to promote both events. By adding Content Tags to these event posts, you can eliminate the hunt for individual posts across all social media channels. Instead, you can simply search the relevant content tag, i.e. “Demo Day,” or “Conference 2016,” and all of the posts will appear regardless of the post status. You will no longer have to waste time searching through hundreds of published or scheduled posts!

2. Tag By Subject Matter

If your client’s product is an educational platform for K-12 students, their social media posts may need to cover varying topics such as teaching methods, tips on digital platform implementation in schools, political news on the educational system, etc. You can use content tags to separate these posts by each specific subject for an easier, more thought-out workflow. This will also ensure you aren’t posting too many times about one subject in a week or month.

3. Tag By Audience

Let’s say your client’s product is an online collaboration platform. The target audiences may range between notable corporations and SMEs to remote teams. You can use GAIN content tags to identify which posts target which audiences or demographics. You can tag posts in bulk and add as many tags as necessary. For example, if some of your posts cater to more than two audiences, they can be labeled with both audience tags.

4. Tag By Approver

Approval rounds can be many or few, depending on the client. You can also send approvals to more than one approver. Because users can create unlimited approval flow templates, they can send different content to different approval templates based on tags. This is useful for brands that might have multiple product lines under the same brand but that have different approval flows for each one. For example, a fashion brand might have a male fashion, female fashion, and perfume product lines. By tagging content with each product line, users can then easily differentiate and send the male fashion content to male fashion approvers and the beauty products posts to the perfume approvers, etc.

Bonus: Edit Posts Faster

It’s common that your posts will go through a few rounds of edits before being published. Generally, you’ll review all posts that have the status “Requesting Revision” in GAIN, regardless of which topic they cover or which audience they cater to. But with content tags, you can also edit posts based on a specific category of your choosing so you can reorganize your workflow and save time. For example, you can categorize your posts with tags such as company news, interviews, promotions, etc. GAIN’s content tags are a fantastic feature that will save your entire team time. With content tags, you can better organize your content, cut down on the overproduction or underproduction of posts, and never have to waste time searching for specific content again.
