The rumors are true. Google is discontinuing individual post metrics for Google Business Profiles, as they shift from a dedicated dashboard to a new experience where users manage their profile via the search engine results page (SERP). This is being referred to as the New Merchant Experience (NMX).
With this change, you’ll only be able to see metrics for your profile as a whole from their new dashboard on the Google search engine results page. This is why, from February 20, 2023, we will no longer be able to retrieve insights for your What’s New posts in Gain.
It’s not all bad news though; this change will not affect the creation, scheduling, approval, and publishing of your What’s New posts in Gain. You can still manage your individual posts for Google Business Profiles and send them to your clients for approval in Gain as usual.
If you don’t want to lose your current data, visit Insights in Gain for each of your Google Business Profiles and export it before March 15, 2023. After that date, Google Business Profiles will not appear on the Gain Insights page.
It’s always hard to have to change your workflow when platforms change their offerings, but we’re here to support you. If you need any help at all exporting your data, we’re only a chat or an email away!
