GAIN Grows Up: A New GAIN is Coming Soon!

As you may know by now, we’ve been working hard to revamp the GAIN interface and make creating, collaborating, and approving content a whole lot easier for you!

Based on the helpful feedback we constantly receive from our users, this might just be our biggest update yet – and we can’t wait to share it with you.

GAIN is all grown up now and this update will make it seamless for you and your team to work with all types of marketing content – whether it’s for one or 100 brands.

We’ll be rolling out the new GAIN very soon, but today we wanted to provide you with a preview of all the exciting features coming your way! Let’s take a look:

Calendar view: a new place to call home

BEFORE

AFTER

The calendar view is one of our most popular features, and one of the first things you’ll notice in this update is that everything is now centered around the calendar view.

Before, you had to first click on a brand or client channel to view the content calendar. Now, you’ll be able to access everything you need and perform all actions on your content without leaving the calendar view.

Faster navigation and filtering

BEFORE

AFTER

Content filter options are no longer hidden or multiple clicks away. Now, quickly and easily filter your content by status (draft, pending approval, scheduled, published, etc.), by format (link posts, video posts, GIF posts, etc.), by tag(s), and even by channel (Facebook posts, LinkedIn posts, Twitter posts, Instagram posts, or Creative Assets) with just one click.

Having all of these options available at a glance makes it simpler and faster to filter and navigate to the exact content you need.

Bringing all the action front & center

BEFORE

AFTER

We’ve moved the action bar to the top of the calendar so that selecting what to do with your content (such as sending posts to approval, scheduling or duplicating posts) is front and center.

Seamless switching of brands and channels

BEFORE

AFTER

Before, switching between brands was a bit tricky and required multiple clicks. Now, you can quickly jump to work on another channel or brand with a single click on the drop-down “Brand Menu” and view all of the connected channels for that brand at a glance.

As always, we encourage you to keep sharing all of your feedback and ideas with us so we can keep improving the marketing content and collaboration process for you and your team! We hope you’ll enjoy the new GAIN — we can’t wait to share it with you.

  1. Can’t wait for this update, thank you GAIN team! I am still waiting on a quick edit feature that allows you to edit posts with out actually having to leave the calendar… Thanks so much! Awesome new features and new look… easier access to the things that are most important.

    • When I say quick edit I mean, you click the edit icon and a pop up comes up allowing you to change the words with out having to actually leave the calendar at all. That would be great!

Thanks so much, Ziad! We can’t wait to share all of these new features that will help you get a lot more done with fewer clicks. The quick edit feature is a great idea and something we’re working towards including in another update soon. For now, one trick is you can right click & edit in a new tab so you don’t have to leave the calendar view. Cheers.

  2. Hi Gain Team,
The new updates sound great. Will you also be including the direct publishing to Instagram now that they have changed the API to allow it? Very keen to see this enabled!

Thanks so much! The Instagram scheduling API is in a very limited beta-testing period [with some vital missing functionality] so we don’t support it at this time. However, when more information and developments around the new API come up, we’ll be sure to let you know!

      • Hootsuite and Now Sprout Social are offering this (I think you may need a business Instagram account) so I would like to hope this is coming very soon! 🙂
This would be life changing for our brand as we manage around 25 Instagram accounts and have to manually do this via the app but the app won’t work on iPad and since we can only have 5 accounts logged in per device it gets a little dicey!

          Hey Hanah,
Definitely! Right now you can use the app on your iPad, just make sure to search for apps that are “only for iPhones” to find it.
